Peter Buckby is the director of Innovation Music, a music school network providing vocal, instrumental and theory lessons on the Yorkshire coast.
During his career Peter has worked in a variety of educational settings with a diverse range of students, across all ages and abilities. He has taught in private music centres with individual and group lessons through to wider opportunity programs in schools. Peter has also lectured for the University of Hull and spoken at conferences and events on the benefits of music making to learners of all ages.
With a keen interest in projects that encourage students of any age to learn an instrument (including singing), each year he heads up a project that takes an interactive music roadshow into schools, inspiring students to discover how great being a musician can be. He also works with adult music projects to encourage students to return to instruments they played as children.
Peter also works as a consultant within Trinity College London's Business Development team, as the Regional Advisor for the Midlands and North of England from his base in North Yorkshire.
